Rumors that One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles may be bi or gay have hit the internet once again this week. These latest claims, however, follow reports that Styles could be dating new girlfriend Erin Foster, after his reported breakup from Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kendall Jenner.
Harry Styles really knows how to get the tabloids talking, and that's exactly what he did when he and his fellow bandmate, Liam Payne, sat down with Lucy Jones of On Demand Entertainment.
When asked what they were looking for in a potential mate, Liam expressed concern that the suitors be female. Harry, however, wasn't so concerned with gender, as E! News tells readers:
"Payne responded first by saying, 'Female. That's an important trait,' causing Styles to shake his head and interject, 'Not that important'...Instead he listed 'sense of humor' and being 'nice to people' as traits he admired...Harry has been a big advocate for gay rights and was even in the center of gay and bisexual rumors himself in recent years."
While Harry was clearly joking, this certainly isn't the first time that he's seen gay and bi rumors surface.
Much of last year's tabloid coverage was dominated by reports that Styles may be dating openly gay DJ Nick Grimshaw. Of course, this report also stemmed from comments Harry made during an interview.
When speaking with GQ, he told the publication that he was only somewhat sure that he isn't bisexual.
Despite joking about his sexuality on a number of occasions, it appears that the 1D singer is decidedly straight. In fact, E! Online claims that Styles is dating the young and beautiful Erin Foster:
"Sorry ladies, but this cutie might be off the market...One Direction hunk Harry Styles was recently spotted picking out a gourd for the Halloween season alongside blond beauty Erin Foster, and what was initially considered to be just two pals hanging out at the pumpkin patch and gearing up for a festive holiday may actually be something a little more."
