It would seem that the real reason Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie didn't attend George Clooney's recent Italian wedding to London lawyer Amal Alamuddin didn't have anything to do with the media circus surrounding the nuptials as first reported. According to the latest gossip news updates, Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie can't stand her United Nations colleague and doesn't care if the feud splits their husband's friendship up. Word has it, that in retaliation for the wedding day slight, Batman and his band new bride have invited Pitt's ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, to dinner to show the Brad and Angie that things are officially over.
It would seem that in the wake of George Clooney finally getting married that the tabloids are hungry for any breaking news to run on up the gossip flagpoles.
Not waiting for anything like a regular story to come along, the National Enquirer has spun some nonsense about George trying his best to hurt Pitt's feeling by having dinner with his old Friends flame:
"This is going to enrage Brad and Angelina, but George has had enough of their snobbery.
"He's always remained friends with Jen after she and Brad divorced, but George didn't make things public out of respect for his friend.
"All that's changed now...George couldn't give a damn if it upsets Brad."
According to the dedicated journalists at Celeb Dirty Laundry, the blowout may be real enough, but the context doesn't make a lot of since.
The CDL reports that is anything the split has more to do with Angelina and Amal beefing at work than it does passing up on the Venice nuptials--but that probably was an added bonus:
"Angelina Jolie isn't too fond of Amal Alamuddin, and supposedly even avoided her during a recent UN event.
"Angelina, and by extension Brad, are not in love with George's new wife, and as such, didn't really want to attend his wedding or take part in his nuptials."
It seems more than likely that the entire fight was made completely made up in the absence of anything meaningful to reports...but if not, this has to be the sexiest feud in Hollywood today.
