Attention Xbox One Owners: What are you doing online right now? Don’t you know you could be playing Sunset Overdrive? In honor of the Xbox One’s first birthday, Microsoft is allowing gamers with Xbox Live Gold memberships to play the new game free for the day.
Not quite sold on Sunset Overdrive and want a chance to play it before you buy? Is the game on your Christmas wishlist, and you just can’t wait to unwrap in? Just don’t have anything else better to do today? Well you are in luck! Microsoft has just the thing to get you through the day, but just today.
For today only (Saturday, November 22), Xbox Live Gold members can play Sunset Overdrive for free on their Xbox One Consoles.
We are not talking some cheap demo either. The full game will be available, even the unlockable eight-person multiplayer mode. Players will be able to earn achievements, just like normal. Game progress will also crossover if you buy the real game, meaning that you can pick up right where you left off.
Hurry up and get to downloading because normal install times apply, and the deal goes offline at 12:00 a.m eastern.
This all comes as part of the Xbox One’s big birthday celebration. It has been one year to the day since the One was released and to celebrate, Microsoft is offering early adopters a virtual gift bag of sweet swag.
