'Parks and Rec,' 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Star Chris Pratt Loses Super Bowl Bet

Chris Pratt originally burst onto the scene with his fun-loving role as Andy Dwyer on the Emmy-nominated and award-winning television show, Parks and Recreation. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, he landed a role in the wildly popular Guardians of the Galaxy. Not only is he an accomplished actor, he has also proven himself to be a socially responsible and caring individual. After losing a bet to Captain America star Chris Evans, Pratt showed up at a Seattle Fundraiser in full costume. Evans and Pratt raised an impressive $27,000 for families with children fighting cancer.

The 35-year-old Pratt grew up in Lake Stevens, Washington. While there, he was a standout high school wrestling star.

At the age of 19, Chris was discovered as a talented actor. His debut film was a horror flick, titled Cursed Part 3. From there, he landed roles in TV's Everwood, O.C. and, of course, Parks and Rec.

His career has developed into some very big roles. Now, many consider Pratt as an A-list level celebrity. According to TMZ Sports, Pratt also knows how to give back:

"Chris Pratt is like a Lannister...he always pays his debts...the Guardians of the Galaxy star dressed up as Star-Lord to make good on his Super Bowl wager with Chris Evans...Star-Lord (Seahawks fan) and Captain America (Pats fan) agreed to visit the other actor's charity in costume if their team lost the big game. Pratt was in character -- hangin' with kids from Christopher's Haven Boston...an organization that helps provide housing for families with children fighting pediatric cancer."

Furthermore, the two were able to raise a significant amount of funds. According to King 5, the Seattle Children's Hospital will never forget what they did for the children:

"...the hospital said the actors have already raised a total of $27,000 for the local hospital and a charity in Boston. 'We are grateful that real-life superheroes Chris Pratt and Chris Evans are turning their sports rivalry into an opportunity to support kids in their communities,' said Lisa Brandenburg, president of Seattle Children's Hospital..."
