Nick Cannon's divorce from wife Mariah Carey isn't even close to being finalized yet, but word has it that the America's Got Talent host already has a new girlfriend in Nicole Scherzinger. Accoridng to the latest gossip news updates, after reportedly dating everyone from Amber Rose to Nicole Murphy in the weeks since their split, Cannon is now in a relationship with Scherzinger -- the "Hero" singer's supposed longtime nemesis. Sadly, it's being widely reported that watching her soon-to-be ex-husband flourish while her heart is torn apart has the "Butterflies" diva on the verge of a mental and emotional breakdown.
Nick Cannon's star has been on the rise for several years now, so it would be surprising if the Wild N' Out star didn't have his pick of any number of Hollywood's hottest woman.
That is why Star Magazine is reporting that Mariah is absolutely furious that Cannon has been shacking up with one of her sworn enemies, Nicole Scherzinger.
The secret source explains that while Carey does have personal problems with Nicole, she really wouldn't be happy with anyone her husband was supposedly dating (via Celeb Dirty Laundry):
"She's always hated Nicole.
"She's very possessive and still thinks of him as her property."
In the latest February 23, issue of Star, one behind-the-scenes informant explains that Mariah is kind of having a hard time dealing with how quickly she is being expected to move on after ending her marriage:
"She's extremely emotional and cries uncontrollably...she's gone off the deep end.
"She still loves Nick but knows he's gone...she feels like she's directionless and not in control of her life."
According to the spy, the prospect of being able to get her professional life back on track with a guaranteed big money payday for stint in Vegas isn't even lifting Mariah's spirits.
The insider insists that the R&B diva has somehow turned the string of Sin City concert dates into another albatross to hang around her neck:
"She panicking that she's doomed and is terrified she won't be able to live up to the hype of her upcoming Las Vergas residency.
"Someone needs to stage an intervention before there is a repeat of 2001 or worse."
Well...if Mariah still can't get over Nick once she moves to Las Vegas...then we will know that she really is doomed.
