Fans of HBO True Detectives got the first look at Season 2 last week, and word has it that in the short time since its premiere a romance has blossomed between a couple of the cast mates. According to the latest gossip news updates, Ryan Gosling's ex-girlfriend, Rachel McAdams, is dating Colin Farrell in addition to her Southpaw costar, Jake Gyllenhaal. It's said that the Wedding Crashers starlet is holding taking things slow with the Irish womanizer, but being that Donnie Darko hasn't put a ring on it, Rachel doesn't see why she wouldn't be allowed to have a nice time with Farrell.
While everyone is all over Rachel McAdams' relationship with Nightcrawler actor, Jake Gyllenhaal, the news that she is also reportedly seeing her True Detective costar, Colin Farrell, has been practically overlooked.
A source close to Rachel reveals in the May 4, issue of Star Magazine, that while Jake is still figuring out what to do next, Farrell has been busy making his move:
"Rachel and Colin definitely have chemistry -- everyone on set has noticed.
"[But] she's a little wary of his playboy past, so she worries about taking the relationship to the next level."
According to the source, Gyllenhaal will probably be devastated to hear the news that Rachel is dating other people but has been too afraid tell her that the thought of their seeing other people drives him insane:
"He'd love to be exclusive with Rachel but hasn't because he is not sure the feeling is mutual."
Whatever is developing between Colin and Rachel, the Daily Mail spoke to an eyewitness to one romantic dinner shared between the Southpaw actors that convinced them that Jake still had a chance:
"They arrived together and sat next to each other
"They were in deep conversation.
"[They stayed for an hour] and looked happy and very friendly."
Unfortunately, little can be ascertained by from the new True Detective trailer as the couple share little more than an suggestive glace during its entire 61-second run time, other than HBO seems to have outdone themselves yet again.
