NBC recently upset many a Hellblazer fan, when they canceled Constantine after only one season. However, like any good comic book character, Constantine can still rise from the dead. Leading the charge to save the series is showrunner Daniel Cerone, and he has a little help from one of sci-fi’s greatest names. William Shatner is championing Cerone’s cause to Save Constantine. Shatner is calling on The CW and/or Netflix to save the show, even agreeing to be cast as Dr. Fate Kent Nelson if the show is picked up for a second season.
William Shatner wants fans to ask The CW to Save Constantine and we happen to agree with the Captain:
Showrunner Daniel Cerone seconded Shatner’s motion, asking him to guest star on the series if it is picked up.
Shatner agreed to play Dr. Fate, making it even more important that the show get picked back up.
