The Tallest Man on Earth (a.k.a Kristian Matsson) has received some warm love on his new LP, Dark Bird is Home. While already out touring the globe, the Swedish songwriter has announced that more U.S. dates will be added to the roster.
With the latest disc already out on the Dead Oceans label, The Tallest Man has been rounding out the late-night circuit while making stops at the Beacon Theatre and Williamsburg Hall of Music. Normally equipped with a thumbpick and his Guild classic, Matsson brings his unique talent to a broader stage with more musicians behind him.
On the album, Russ Borris at WFUV writes:
"Kristian Matsson a.k.a. The Tallest Man on Earth has made a career of writing personal songs with sparse but beautiful arrangements. On the new album, Dark Bird is Home, the sound is fuller and more expansive."
His fourth studio record to date, it's to be expected that more dates would soon be added to the calendar to incorporate a growing global fan base. Though the singer-songwriter has been around since before 2008, the world has finally caught up to his stride.
