Kris Humphries is selling an item that was once dear to Kim Kardashian’s heart. The NBA player is auctioning off her wedding ring, leading many to wonder if the NBA player is having financial difficulties.
Kris and Kim were probably damned from the start. Any marriage that begins with a two-part TV special is likely to face problems down the road--even if it’s not that far down the road.
They were married on August 20, 2011 and had filed for divorce by October of that same year. In total, the NBA player and the socialite were wed for just 72 days.
The short time of their marriage and the inordinate amount of money the couple was able to generate from it, left many wondering if it was just a publicity stunt. Though, photos taken of Kris in the days following their divorce seemed to show the normally stoic man heartbroken.
It would appear that he is moving on with his life post-Kim and is selling her one-time wedding ring. After the divorce, Kris demanded to receive the ring back and now he has some serious plans for it, as Pop Stop TV reveals:
“If you want the ring, it will probably set you back at least half a mill. A representative from Christie’s confirmed the wedding ring is a 16.21-carat center diamond Lorrain Schwartz creation, with two 1.80-carat side diamonds. That’s some good bling.”
