Other than a few spots guest starring in TV series here and there Britney Spears really hasn't done much acting of note since making Crossroads way back in 2002, but her onetime costar, Taryn Manning, believes the "Toxic" diva can do anything. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Orange Is the New Black cast member thinks that Britney would be the perfect new addition to the Netflix show. In a related story, Britney's new boyfriend, Harry Morton, is said to have her closest friends in a tizzy. Word has it that Morton is well-known for loving and leaving some of Hollywood's biggest names, and Spears' besties fear she will be the next notch on his belt.
Although Hollywood hasn't exactly been begging Britney Spears to make another movie following her first and last big budget flop, Crossroads, Taryn Manning seems to think that the 33-year-old is still a very talented actress.
When asked whether or not she thought it would be a good idea for the Spears to join the Orange Is the New Black Cast, Tayrn told Entertainment Tonight that she was convinced all Netflix needed to do was find the lady a spot:
"Of course, I want Britney Spears everywhere you can see her... She's the best. They would have to make up a character -- she is such a good actor that I feel like they could do anything with her.
"I was so impressed working with her I was like -- she's just very sincere in her acting, you know? It's like everyone wanted to maybe hope that she's not gonna be good but she was great."
While it is doubtful that Britney will ever get another chance to helm a major motion picture, Spears has had ample opportunities at finding love.
Unfortunately, her friends and family are said to be less than impressed with her current beau, Harry Morton.
One source in the latest October 5, issue of Star magazine claims that the restaurateur is known for being a serial womanizer, who now has his hooks buried deep into Britney:
"Harry has a notorious reputation in Hollywood for being a complete cad.
"He's famous for playing head games. He pretends he's interested in a serious relationship and then dumps women just as soon as they become too attached."
The insider goes on to tell the tabloid that behind-the-scenes everyone is worried what will happen to Britney once things fall apart with Morton:
"Britney doesn't handle heartbreak well...She's very fragile.
"We've all tried to warn her this guy was bad news, but she won't listen."
