After years of swearing that she didn't care if she ever had kids, Cameron Diaz is reportedly putting herself through hell to have a baby with her new husband, Benji Madden. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Mask actress has turned to IVF in the hopes of soon getting pregnant, but the side effects the treatments are taking a heavy toll on her body. Word has it that the fitness guru has turned to drinking heavily most nights in order to deal with both the physical and emotional stress associated with IVF, while the Madden Brothers rocker does his best to keep her comfortable.
Despite being known for her obsession with staying fit and healthy, Cameron Diaz is said to be drinking more often than not these day in an attempt to deal with all the pressures of trying to get pregnant.
One source in the latest October 26, issue of OK! Magazine claims that since turning to IVF, Cameron has been using booze to help her manage how upset she is with what the process is doing to her body:
"Cam hates how grueling IVF is, but she is willing to put up with it because she really wants a baby. It made her very bloated, and she isn't following her usual extremely healthy lifestyle.
"She's eating whatever she wants and the drinking in the evenings; she's pretty much given up exercising. Cam never thought it's be so hard to get pregnant...She's emotional about everything right now."
The insider that the UK's Closer spoke to revealed that things have gotten so bad, that Cameron is even starting to consider abandoning the whole pregnancy plan at this point (via Belfast Telegraph):
"Cameron has taken a career break since she got married, but they are still struggling to get pregnant and this has been frustrating for both of them.
"Benji has been busy working on new music with...Joel, so they haven't been able to spend that much time together. Meanwhile, Cameron is starting to miss work and has asked her agent to start sending her scripts again."
