Throughout Februar, Starbucks will be serving two new heavenly drinks: Smoked Butterscotch Latte and Teavana Citrus Green Tea Latte and for a limited time only. Better get that to-do list and include heading to the nearest Starbucks to be one of the first coffee aficionados to try them out.
The first one mentioned contains a mixture of espresso and steamed milk with smoked butterscotch sauce, topped with a sprinkle of smoky butterscotch. As a part of a developmental team for Starbucks that creates and introduces newly crafted espresso brews, Christal Canzler said, "The smoky flavor balances the subtle sweetness of the butterscotch. It acts as a savory ingredient that enhances the coffee."
Furthermore, the second new beverage is prepared with micro-ground, grown-in-the-shade full leaf green tea. It has a combination of steamed milk and sweet citrus mint syrup and topped with finishing touches of lemon essence. Since it was first served nine years ago, Green Tea Latte has been one of the most sought after beverages. As a base, it is then fused with additives such as mint, basil and lemon and turns into another kind of healthy and invigorating drinking sensation.
These two new drinking concoctions were actually the first to be influenced by Seattle-based Starbucks Reserve® Roastery and Tasting Room. The Roastery was established with the sole purpose of offering customers "the art, science and craft of coffee and tea." Both of these featured seasonal beverages can be prepared as Frappuccinos and can also be served hot or iced.
