“The teachings of Jesus of Nazareth and the words of Genesis/Bereshit, the first book of Torah and Bible, are the timeless script for a pair of unique dramatic one-act presentations by actor Bill Oberst Jr.
“Oberst’s love of history and language are on display in Jesus Of Nazareth, a first-person hypothetical recreation of the teaching presence of the historical Jesus, with a text taken entirely from the most direct translations of the synoptic New Testament Gospels.
“The Book Of Genesis is taken from the most respected and scholarly translations of Genesis/Bereshit from Torah and Bible. Oberst brings out the majesty, the humor and most of all, the humanity in the characters of his selected stories, including The Creation, The Fall, The Covenant, Abraham & Issac, Abraham & Ishmael, and the climactic saga of Joseph & His Brothers.”
