This January 5 is the premiere of the new season of The Bachelor. While this year's lucky fellow, Juan Pablo Galavis, is still reeling from the pain of being sent home packing by Desiree Hartsock on last years The Bachelorette, he couldn't be more ready for love. You have to wonder where he hopes to find it. Some of this year's contestants seem more fit for a straight jacket than marriage.
The 31-year-old Venezuelan former soccer player and single dad was ready to find love last season. The Ithaca, New York born bachelor hasn’t been phased by last year’s rejection at all.
He related his sunny disposition when speaking with In Touch Weekly early this month:
“I really wanted to have that wife and a couple [more] kids. Hopefully Ill find that stepmom for my daughter soon.”
While the show has yet still to air and America hasn’t really had an opportunity to meet the 27 desperate contestants, a few bits of telling information are starting to slip through. In Touch Weekly is already circulating the “short list” of people to watch this season:
“Nikki, 26, The Mean Girl: ‘Says mean things, but in front of Juan Pablo she’s sweet. She’s not there to make friends.'”
“Andi, 26, The Tough Cookie: ‘I haven’t really come to terms with the fact that I’ll be dating the same guy as 26 other girls,’ she gripes.”
“Sharleen, 29, The Class Act: ‘She is very worldly and well-spoken. She Shares lots of kisses with Juan Pablo. Apparently their physical attraction is intense!’”
“Lauren S., 26, The Fame Seeker: ’She was on a game show before going on The Bachelor. Being on TV is her goal.’”
“Cassandra, 21, The Wacko: ‘One of the craziest girls this season. She calls herself a professional gold digger.’”
“Lucy, 24, The Nudist: ‘Lucy loves being naked.’”
