Jennifer Lopez’s relationship with 26-year-old choreographer Casper Smart sure has cost her a lot. Besides dealing with that jabs that she is a talentless, cradle robbing has-been with no personal integrity, the 44-year-old celebrity judge from American Idol has literally spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on her boyish beau. Though it's not the money, but his attitude that has Lopez ready to split.
Jennifer has had no problem with lavishing gifts on her man over their two year relationship. What has always been a thorn in her side is his sense of entitlement. Lopez, who earned her fortune through the unbelievably hard work that is singing and dancing, for an hour or so at time, sees no reason why the boy she picked out from a pauper’s obscurity would have anything but "thank you’s" on his lips. A source close to Lopez recounted the recent war of wills to OK! Magazine:
“They fight over the fact that Casper feels entitled when he shouldn’t. He forgets that and thats when their fights breakout...She doesn’t want him to forget that he came into the relationship with nothing and he’ll leave with nothing as well...He started to become accustomed to the way she lived and got very comfortable with the celebrity lifestyle...This is not his stuff, its hers. They’ve always had an issue with that.”
Maybe someone should explain to Lopez that when you raise a puppy that you found on the street in the lap of luxury, it doesn’t spend its whole life adjusting to it. Good thing the couple aren’t married. A Judge might not see things quite the way she does.
