Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson have already had to postpone the wedding twice due to pregnancies, but now they may cancel the whole thing out of embarrassment. According to years of countless reports, Jess' dad Joe is as gay as the day is long; former husband Nick Lachey even made remarks about Papa Joe's inappropriate holiday touching. But the recent picture of Joe and his client (and rumored lover) romping around on the beaches of Miami was enough to cause image obsessed Jess to consider cancelling the nuptial ceremony all together and just elope with her retired football player beau.
Rumor has it that Jessica Simpson flipped when she saw the recent internet photos of her father and his "client" admiring each other half-naked bodies on the beaches of sunny Miami.
A friend of the fachion mogul claims in Star that when she first got word of the pictures, Simpson called up her dad and let him have it:
"Jessica saw the picture and totally freaked out.
"She called Joe up and started yelling about his total and complete lack of judgment. [But] Joe insisted to her that Jon is his client and that there's nothing to it."
That might have got her off the phone, but a family insider told Star that Jessica is far from convinced that things will ever go back to the way they were:
"She is absolutely modified by what her father is doing.
"Every time Jessica gets her mom and dad to make a truce so they can attend her wedding. Joe does something to embarrass her as much as possible."
And Joe's not content with all the attention he and his boy toy garnered in Miami, he has reportedly told Jess he wants to bring Jon to the wedding with him as well (via Star):
"He's saying he's trying to up Jon's profile, but the last thing Jessica wants is to turn her wedding into a PR circus."
Simpson family escapee Nick Lachey knows all to well that Joe's erratic homosexual-ish behavior is more than just idle speculation and rumor.
The 98⁰ alum told Andy Cohen that the thing he enjoyed most about not being married to Jessica was the inappropriate touching from her father (via Bravo):
"The best thing about not having Joe Simpson anymore as a father-in-law, is I don't have to play grab ass under the table on Easter Sunday."
Joe must be hell on the groomsmen.
