Real Housewives of Atlanta NeNe Leakes made news by joining the new Dancing with the Stars cast, but it makes sense, considering her dancing background. NeNe claims that she plans to use her old stripper moves to turn heads and gather votes. Fellow Bravo peer Jeff Lewis of Flipping Out told Wendy Williams that he was happy to hear about the update. He thinks Leakes needs the change of pace because she has been "dirty' on her current season Housewives.
NeNe Leakes is excited about her new gig on Dancing with the Stars and told late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel that she thought her experience working the pole would be the key to her success.
NeNe told Jimmy that she was looking for her "energy and pop" to bring in a flood on male votes to her side (via E!)
"My strategy is to bring a lot of soul and a lot of personality, which I don't think a lot of those Olympic athlete people have. I want to make sure that I bring energy and pop!
"In my twenties I was an exotic dancer...I'm going to bring it.
"I plan to win a lot of the men votes!"
Jeff Lewis from the Bravo series Flipping Out, told Wendy Williams that no matter how trashy NeNe appeared on DWTS, it would be an improvement from she comes off in the latest season of Real Housewives of Atlanta (via The Wrap):
"I'm actually very happy that she has this gig, because I feel like this last season we're watching right now, I feel like she has kind of regressed, taken a step backwards. I feel like she's getting a little dirty.
"I felt dirty...I felt like this has gone too far. I don't mind flipping tables, I don't mind screaming at each other, but when they start breaking ribs, that's where I'm like, ooh, this is a line."
Bet Jeff won't say that to her face.
