Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi try to project the image of the perfect couple, but the truth be told, if the pressures from their marriage aren't driving them towards divorce, than they're driving them to the nut house. The reported fighting, drinking, cheating and youth seeking plastic surgeries has forced the couple to seek physiological therapy, as a last ditch effort to save their marriage and their sanities.
Ellen and Portia at times seem the very image of marital bliss, which their matching bleach blonde hairdos and heart melting smiles.
Ellen even made a big deal about supporting Portia at the Oscars 2014 Governor's Ball, going on and on to E! about how beautiful her wife looked (via Huffington Post):
"[Portia] will be in the audience with my mom and my friends and her mom and her family, and she has a gorgeous gown that is stunning...I definitely voted for that one, but she was picking it anyway."
But behind the scenes Ellen isn't quite so supportive; a source close to the couple told Star DeGeneres is practically an alcoholic with a mood disorder:
"Ellen often drinks at home, and when she does, she can get pretty nasty and hurtful. It's definitely affected their marriage. They fight about it a lot...They fight constantly. Their marriage is spiraling down; there's no way it will last."
And Ellen doesn't at ruining the peace in the house, she also ruins Portia state of mind, reportedly pressuring her to always look as young as she possibly can.
According to a friend, Ellen has a history of using up younger women and then putting them out to pasture:
"Ellen loves younger women. It's been a pattern for her: She meets a beautiful young woman, wines and dines them, and sweeps them off their feet. Ellen basically consumes them and makes them the focus of her life. But as soon as they start to look older, she loses interest."
All the pressure has finally gotten to Portia. She wants to make Ellen happy, but according to an insider she is losing her mind trying to do it:
"Ellen's a jealous control freak, and it's taking a toll on Portia. Portia loves her to death, but she feels like she's trapped in Ellen's world and she can't get out. She's had it with Ellen's jealousy and insecurities! There's even been talk of a separation, but for now, they're trying to work things out in therapy."
