Joyce DiDonato Offers Masterclasses for Aspiring Opera Singers, Ages 18-24, During Carnegie Hall Residency Program

Calling all opera singers between the ages of 18 and 24: Classicalite's mezzo of choice, Joyce DiDonato, is available for some serious vocal refinery with her upcoming masterclasses at Carnegie Hall.

As part of her Perspectives residency at Carnegie, DiDonato presents a series of three classes focusing on her specialty--the operatic aria.

Four singers chosen by Joyce will be selected to participate in the public event, which will be held in the Judith and Burton Resnick Education Wing.

Don't have the nerve? Like DiDonato's commencement address at Juilliard, all three courses will be streamed live online.

According to Carnegie Hall's website, highlights include DiDonato's performance of Rossini's La donna del lago at the Met Opera and select online preparation courses with the singer, herself.

And if you're any familiar with what vocal lessons entail (and if you're applying, you must be), there will also be sections on breathing, diction and career development implemented into the program.

The application deadline is October 15 and all candidates will receive word by November 14.

If you're selected, the classes will be held February 21-23, 2015.

Feeling lucky? Make your way to the page and check out the application requirements (an additional $10 will be imposed on all submissions).
