Ariana Grande has won over the hearts of American music fans, however, the Nickelodeon starlet has allegedly been making waves with her TV contemporaries. The “Problem” singer has had her fair share of problems with her former Victorious co-star, Victoria Justice. Grande is now rumored to be at odds with her Sam & Cat partner Jennette McCurdy. Even Ultimate Spider-Man himself, Drake Bell has had few bad words to say about the actress/singer.
If you haven’t heard the about the Sam & Cat, Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy fued, then you must have been living under a pop-culture-proof rock. That or you happen to be over 40. Let us refresh your memory a bit. Recently, Jennette McCurdy didn’t attend Nick’s annual event show, the Kids Choice Awards.
After her KCA noshow, Jennette explained her absence via a Twitter Twitlonger blog. During her rant she made a reference to her co-star, Ariana Grande, writing:
“I want to thank those of you who have reached out with kind words of support, McCurdians and Arianators alike. No matter who or what you support, I believe in supporting fairness first. If you have done that, thank you.”
Rumors then started circulating that Jennette was enraged that Grande was making more money than her. Ariana has since addressed the pay issue, writing in her own Twitlonger post:
“I hate addressing rumors and I hate gossip but this is really bothering me. Jennette and I agreed upfront that we would be treated equally on this show in all regards (as we should be, considering we each work just as hard as the other on this show). The rumors circulating about our contracts and our salary not being equal are absolutely ridiculous and false.”
However, Grande did not address any of the rumors that she was involved in the feud. Following the rumors McCurdy was reportedly seen spending time with Grande’s former castmate turned rumored rival, Victorious Justice.
Even one of Grande’s self described fan’s, Drake Bell, has managed to throw a little shade her way.
Recently Drake Bell made a few off color comments about Ariana Grande, telling Buzzfeed:
“There’s just a lot of really young, entitled people. I don’t think a lot of these young people have to work very hard. They’re found on YouTube and, boom, thrown into the studio so they think they can get anything they want. Ariana Grande is a billionaire before she’s been an artist. You have to work to be able to appreciate what you have … what work did she ever have to do in her life?”
