Twitter diva Avril Lavigne is reportedly having problems with her husband of less than a year Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, because he is no longer living by her marriage rules. Avy had her cheating "Sk8er Boi" on a pretty tight leash, but months after the wedding Chad started to make a play for more power that has Lavigne ready to split. Apparently Avril is so obsessed with the idea of getting a divorce, she has reportedly stopped wearing her engagement rings all together.
Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger entered into marriage with a fool proof set of rules and regulations designed to keep them together indefinitely.
But all the precious protocals and guidlines have apparently failed them less than one year in, though not because of an ignorance of the rules.
Both Chad and Avril explained to People that they were ready to embrace a strict code of conduct in order to keep and encourage trust and fidelity:
Avril: "We don't spend more than two weeks apart. Chad's been really supportive and coming out with me [to South Africa]...We want to protect what we have."
Chad: "We don't drink when we're apart...Ever. Even if we're apart for weeks.
"We don't want to go anywhere that you're asking for trouble... "I don't want to be in Europe texting her, like 'Where are you?'
"For us, true happiness is when we're both together and in our own bed."
Now that the honeymoon is over, however, Chad is sometimes happier doing whatever the hells he wants, when he wants.
An insider told Star that Kroeger's attempts at regaining a little bit of his freedoms--and maybe manhood--have gone over any way but well in the Lavigne household:
"When they first got together, Avril wore the pants.
"But Chad has reverted back to his old ways and doesn't check in like he used to."
After Avril was spotted out-and-about several times in L.A. without Chad's wedding ring insight, a friend of the pop star told OK! that if Avril can't wear the pants--then she won't wear the ring:
"They had trust issues...It was tough when Chad was on tour.
"The friend says it's too emotional for Avril to look at her ring."
Did you know that if a faux-punk weds a faux-rocker, you get a faux marriage?...Guess, Chad and Avril didn't either.
