Jack Reynor & Nicola Peltz Talks ‘Transformers 4: Age of Extinction’ After ‘Bates Motel’ Exit: [TRAILER]

The newest installment in Michael Bay’s Transformers franchise is just around the corner and the Age of Extinction is almost upon us. Gone are the days of Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox. Enter the new generation (Generation 2, if you will) of fleshling heros: Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor and Bates Motel actress Nicola Peltz. Recently the human cast have been opening up about what it is like working with Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, the Dinobots and the rest of the Autobots. You can also check out the entire cast, robot and human alike, in the trailer for the movie coming to theaters this June.

Nicola Peltz may have left Bates Motel earlier this year, but she has moved on to bigger projects. Peltz is playing Mark Wahlberg’s (Cade) daughter (Tessa) in the new brand new soft-reboot. Peltz recently spoke to The Michigan Daily about joining the franchise:

“I am a huge fan of Transformers, and the film and what [Michael Bay] has done with these films is so mind blowing...I grew up with six brothers, so I was a huge--I am a huge fan of the ‘Transformers’ films and the cartoon, so it's so exciting for me to just get the opportunity to audition.”

Peltz stars opposite Jack Reynor in the film. Raynor also opened up about joining the Transformer world:

“I think that when you step into a franchise that’s already been established, there is that stigma of whether are you going to be able to live up to the expectations of people who’ve been, you know, die-hard fans of the previous franchise and stuff...I wasn't even aware of the existence of the cartoon series ‘Transformers’ until I was about 14 or 15, but I did have, like, a range of Transformers toys when I was really young. And I used to play with those all the time, and I have very vivid memories of them.”

Transformers 4: Age of Extinction hits theaters on June 27.
