Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and her much younger actress wife Portia de Rossi have reportedly been having series marital issues for the better part of six months. Rumor has it that the girls have put their problems behind them and are ready to once again pledge their eternal love for one another. It's whispered that Ellen and Portia are planning a second wedding to celebrate their summertime anniversary and renew their wedding vows, in de Rossi's native Australia. Apparently it took more than just a rededication of sentiment to Portia, to get Ellen out of the proverbial dog house. The veteran entertainer, whose net worth is said to be in the $230 million range, has supposedly even agreed to a new baby, but Portia will probably wait to get pregnant until after the wedding.
It has become common knowledge at this point that Ellen DeGeneres' marriage to Portia de Rossi is said to be as full of holes as a ten pound block of Swiss, but they are reportedly hoping to turn that public perception around come August.
Ellen and Portia have tried in vain to convince people that the marriage is as strong and healthy as it ever was; a close friend of the Hollywood hot couple told OK! Magazine that pair planned to show the world what they mean to each other in in just a few short months:
"There have been a lot of headlines suggesting that their relationship is in trouble...They want to quash them.
"[Ellen and Portia] are looking to do something on or around, August 16, their sixth wedding anniversary, in Portia's home country of Australia.
"It going to be a second honeymoon, a largely private trip...a simple ceremony, followed by a beautiful dinner party for a few loved ones."
According to the insider the reason that Portia and Ellen chose Australia over America for their second marriage ceremony, have as much to do with family obligation as they did activism:
"They want it to be in Sydney because the city has a big gay population, and they want to help spur the acceptance of gay marriage...[Plus] they both agree that it's time they went over to see Portia's family and friends."
And although OK!'s insider couldn't guarantee whether or not Ellen and Portia were definitely have a baby, they did confirm that the women were thinking about it:
"Nothing has been decided, but Ellen and Portia are talking about adopting.
"It's something they've dismissed in the past, saying they were just not interested in having kids...[But] It seems they feel something may be missing form their marriage--and that's the patter of little fit."
