Instagram fixture and View co-host Sherri Sheppard is getting divorced from her husband of three years, writer Lamar Sally. Despite the woman reportedly giving him multiple chances to turn the marriage around, her petulant husband is said to have continued to run around to the point that Sherri can no longer take it. And now it's rumored that he has the audacity to demand full custody of their child, which is still in the belly of their pregnant surrogate, as well as a dismissal of the terms of their prenupt that was supposed to protect Sheppard's mult-imillion dollar net worth.
All the Hollywood internet gossip seems to point to View co-host Sherri Shepherd being a saint during her failing marriage to Lamar Sally.
According to an insider in In Touch Sally was more concerned with hunting down some strange than making time for his new family:
"There's been trouble form day one--Sherri thought that he wasn't stepping up as a dad to her son, Jeffrey [8, who has special needs].
"Sherri and Lamar kept a united front...But Sherri's always kept her personal life secret, so this was a shock."
To compile insult upon injury, Sally--who was allegedly caught in an affair--is demanding that Sherri give up her rights to their child and her own fortune, among other things.
Lamar is holding nothing back going into this ugly divorce battle reports Star Magazine:
"Lamar, who filed for legal separation on May 2, isn't taking things lying down.
"He's demanding full custody of the unborn child the pair are expecting in July, as well as spousal support and the invalidation of their prenuptial agreement, which protects Sherri's estimated $10 million fortune."
A close friend of Shepherd's told Star that Sherri did her best to ignore what was going on, until that became impossible:
"Sherri closed her eyes to what Lamar was up to for a long time...but things just kept getting worse."
There is definitely some important details missing from the tabloid portrayal of this story.
First of all, if Sally was the one doing all the cheating, then why does he seemed so pissed?
And if Sherri was the one that caught Lamar stepping out and consequently ended their relationship, then why in the hell did he file for divorce instead of Sherri?
Somebody ain't telling the truth about something.
