Known as much for her feet's love of expensive Italian shoes as her Sex and the City horse face, Sarah Jessica Parker and her marginally-famous Ferris Bueller beau, husband of 17-years, Matthew Brodrick are reportedly ready for divorce after years of dodging rumors that their marriage was falling apart. Rumor has it that things haven't been the same ever since allegations that the Producers thespian was cheating on his movie-star wife back in 2008. According to all the whispers, the couple are tired of putting on a show for the paparazzi and have been seriously discussing mutually splitting from their sexless marriage.
It seems that living with real-life husband Matthew Broderick for almost two decades has been just as problematic for HBO success story Sarah Jessica Parker, as trying to navigate the emotional minefield of New York City was for struggling Sex and the City thirty-something Carrie Bradshaw.
An insider told OK! Magazine that the relationship was already over for all intents and purposes, all the pair have to do now it figure out how they want to deal with it publically:
"The care about each other deeply because of their long history, but they're grown apart.
"[They] have so little in common that on the rare occasion they are home alone, they're usually in separate rooms...sitting in silence.
"Both know that people are whispering behind their backs.
"It's really heartbreaking...They've started to have discussions about calling it quits."
According to the insider the marriage has never really ever been able to cover from the very public rumors that emerged around Matty supposedly sleeping with a 25-year-old youth counselor more than five years ago:
"Matthew gave up his girlfriend, and he and Sarah Jessica tried to start over, but it broke Sarah Jessica's heart into a million pieces."
One very uncomfortable bar patron at The Otheroom in Venice, California, told Star Magazine that if Broderick had given up his old girlfriend, it doesn't seem his given up looking for a new one:
"He could not stop staring at me.
"It was really uncomfortable--so much so that my boyfriend got upset.
"We ended up rushing to get a cab to leave because he was so creepy."
Since when did bad-ass Ferris Bueller turn in to just another creepy Hollywood fat-ass; and more importantly where the hell is my big when you really need him?
