True Blood's sexiest werewolf Joe Manganiello has been the only Magic Mike XXL star that has been willing to talk about the the upcoming film. Not only did HBO's Suki Stackhouse-loving Alcide Herveaux break the news about the name of bi 22 Jump Street star Channing Tatum's next passion project, he even mentioned an autumn start date for production. Though to be fair to the other Magic Mike dancers like Dallas Buyers Club's Matthew McConaughey and Endless Love's Alex Pettyfer have been preoccupied with other projects, while Joe has had male strippers on the brain for months now. Manganiello recently made his directing debut with a documentary based upon the real-life high and lows of the modern day exotic male dancer, La Bare.
HBO True Blood Joe Manganiello isn't afraid of anything as Alcide Herveaux and likewise he is the only actor willing to take the leap and talk about Tatum Channing's Magic Mike sequel.
According to Vibe that not only had the film's title of Magic Mike XXL been decided, but Channing Tatum and his production partners also had a time scheduling to begin shooting the movie as well:
"It's going to happen this fall...I think they're going to announce it soon. It's crazy.
"I didn't think that would be my first franchise. I never thought that would ever be the direction of my career. But that said, it's just proof that I don't know best, all the time."
Apparently, Joe feels like he's stumbled into a pretty good thing with this stripper movie racquet, and he has decided to go all in--moving from playing a stripper to directing them, according to OK! Magazine:
"Magic Mike may have been Joe Manganiello's entrée into the world of male strippers, but La Bare, his directorial debut, goes deeper, talking to audiences behind the curtain at La Bare Dallas, one of the world's most popular male strip clubs.
"Strippers at La Bare are taught how to politely fend off the occasional superfan."
Well...it is a lot easier than trying to do a werewolf documentary...though it couldn't have been more horrifying.
