TNT’s hit crime drama Rizzoli & Isles is all new tonight. Last week the show said goodbye to Barry Frost, who was writen off the show after Lee Thompson Young took his own life last year. Young, know for his role as Jett Jackson in the Disney Channel series of the same name, committed suicide after struggling with bipolar disorder. The series reportedly doesn’t plan on replacing the actor with a new detective anytime soon, however, they are getting a new cast member. Battlestar Galactica vet Jamie Bamber will be joining the series. Bamber will play prosecutor Paul Wescourt, who has been accused of murdering his lover. The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “Too Good To Be True,” reads:
“A killer uses online ads to find murder victims. Meanwhile, Jane discovers it's difficult to keep her pregnancy a secret.”
The official plot synopsis for next week’s new episode, titled, “Doomsday,” reads:
“The team investigates when a man is found murdered inside his doomsday fallout shelter. Jane loses investigative focus when she discovers Korsak is considering retirement and Frankie is hiding a secret.”
Don’t expect Jaime Bamber’s character anytime soon. The actor will join the series for the mid-season finale in September. Bamber is also known for his work on the hit science fiction series Battlestar Galactica and Law and Order: UK.
