Henry IV Part 2, the second in the Royal Shakespeare Company's trio of "Live from Stratford-upon-Avon" screenings for the U.S. market for 2014, begins this weekend. Gregory Doran directs, with Antony Sher, winner of Olivier, SAG and Drama Desk Awards, as Falstaff.
It follows Henry IV Part 1, which played from June 3 - July 3 in cinemas across the US after screenings in more than 315 UK cinemas in May. And it precedes The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Shakespeare's early romantic comedy, which will be filmed live on September 3 and appear in US movie theaters for a month beginning September 20.
RSC continues its partnership with Picturehouse Entertainment after 130,000 people in 14 countries saw Doran's production of Richard II with David Tennant.
