Orpheus Chamber Orchestra's 44th season at Carnegie Hall is guaranteed to honor the orchestra's commitment to collaborating with world-renowned soloists, bringing attention to lesser-known pieces and expanding the repertoire for chamber orchestra through the commissioning of new works. The 2016-17 four-concert series features pianist Christian Zacharias, pianist and composer Fazıl Say, violinist Vadim Gluzman and cellist Alisa Weilerstein, along with the New York premieres of Orpheus-commissioned orchestral works from composers Jessie Montgomery and Michael Hersch as part of the orchestra's American Notes initiative.
