Police Drummer Stewart Copeland Brings 'Off the Score' Quintet to Schimmel Center

Stewart Copeland is no longer drumming with Sting but instead coining operas. Having premiered a revamped version of The Cask of Amontillado at Dixon Place in New York, the drummer-cum-composer will now bring Off the Score, a collaborative effort with pianist Jon Kimura Parker, to Pace University's Schimmel Center on April 8.

The BBC recently conducted a profile of the emerging talent along with her curious backstory. According to the BBC, Omo Bello started her career studying to become a geneticist in her native Nigeria until 2006 when she was awarded a scholarship to train as an opera singer in France. From there, her career blossomed into what has now made her the "most sought-after" opera soprano in the field today.
