Deutsche Grammophon Launches 'DG Discovery' Streaming App for iTunes Store
The venerable label Deutsche Grammophon has launched DG Discovery, the world’s first classical label streaming app. Right now, Grammophon’s app offers subscribers access to performances and information on 450 albums by 30 of the most popular names on their roster, all performed by some 80 DG artists. Violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter as Carnegie Hall's 2014-2015 Perspectives artist has curated a six-night concert series. Beginning on October 1, the Opening Night Gala will feature Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic. The series will also include the U.S. Premiere of Sebastian Currier’s Ringtone Variations & Sir André Previn’s Violin Concerto No. 2.
