Bad News Barrett Injured, After Successful Surgery Out For Months, Stripped Of Intercontinental Title

Wade Barrett, now known as Bad News Barrett, won't be seeing action for the foreseeable future. After sustaining a separated shoulder at the hands of Jack Swagger, the imposing British wrestler may be out for months. Though his surgery was successful, he will need ample recovery time and rehab. The injured Superstar, sadly, has been stripped of his Intercontinental Title, much like his former rival Daniel Bryan.

    Panthers fans may be upset to learn that Cam Newton has been stepping out... on his teammates, that is. At a promotional event for the Under Armour sports apparel line the Carolina QB was seen tossing the football around with fellow endorsers Randall Cobb and Torrey Smith. It was almost like cheating. His normal Panthers receivers weren't there, though, rookie Kelvin Benjamin joined him. It's a good thing, too, because the normally reclusive field general seems to be forming a bond with the young receiver. That bodes well for the Panthers, who went 12-4 last year despite what some believe to be a less than stellar wide out core. And it bodes well for Newton, who injured himself last year, and is coming off minor ankle surgery with high hopes of another playoff berth in 2014.
