Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Features ‘Girl Meets World’ Sabrina Carpenter, Performances From Broadway Shows ‘On the Town,’ ‘Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder,’ ‘Last Ship,’ ‘Side Show’ and More

Forget about football, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is what we are looking forward to. The all-star annual event has been charming audiences, and freezing celebrities, for 88 years. One of our favorite parts of the grand tradition has to be the Broadway performances. The full list of musicals that will be showcased has been released. This year, musical theater fans all over the world will get a taste of, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, The Last Ship, Side Show, the classic On the Town ("New York, New York") and more. Fans of the Disney Channel are in for treat, with Girl Meets World star Sabrina Carpenter making an appearance.

The list of 2014 Broadway musical performances include:

 A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder - "I've Decided to Marry You.”

Honeymoon in Vegas - "When You Say Vegas."

The Last Ship (featuring Sting) -"Show Some Respect."

Side Show -"Ready to Play."

On the Town - "New York, New York."

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade executive producer Amy Kule, released a statement to the press about the scale of the upcoming event, that reads (via Playbill):

“This is a record breaking year for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, as we debut the largest new cast of giant character balloons ever assembled, along with five amazing new floats. Tens of millions of spectators will be amazed by what we have in store. In addition to an incredible line up of celebrity performers, America’s best high school and college marching bands, hundreds of dancers, cheerleaders, clowns, and balloon handlers, we are adding some new layers of interactivity to the Parade for the first time this year. From live cameras on a float capturing special moments along the route to incredible 360-degree panoramic photos where fans can find themselves part the action, and finally, through our Confetti Carpet, the behind the scenes look at the starting line with our celebrity performers; we are bringing the Macy’s Parade closer to audiences in New York City and in homes across the country.”

The 88th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade begings thursday at 9:00 p.m. eastern on NBC.
