Are you tired of the cold weather? So are the residents of Storybrooke. The first half of ABC’s Once Upon A Time is almost over, and that means that the Frozen Snow Queen, Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost / Revolution), evil scheme should be thawing out before spring. Enter, Season 4’s other big bad, Maleficent. The Sleepy Beauty villain is set to return to the second half of the season. Maleficent will once again be played by Kristin Bauer van Straten, known for her role as the Pam on HBO’s True Blood.
The b*t*h is back. Kristin Bauer van Straten is making her return to Once Upon A Time in 2015, as the iconic villain Maleficent.
This time the Maleficent will look a little different, regaining her classic horned crown.
Once Upon A Time costume designer Eduardo Castro recently spoke to TV Guide about Maleficent’s new (old) look:
"One of the things I was sorry... I didn't do [with] Maleficent was a much more elaborate headpiece. Now, the new headpiece will be more like the cartoon. And I think it's going to be quite spectacular."
However, everyone who knows anything about Maleficent, knows that she is not limited to her human form. Perhaps her most famous transformation is her in the form of a mighty dragon:
