Injured Manny Pacquiao Lawsuit: Sued Over Mayweather Fight Loss

When Manny Pacquiao took on Floyd Mayweather for the so called "Fight of the Century," many fans ordered the much hyped event for a record breaking price on pay-per-view, as well as gambling on the outcome of the fight. In the aftermath of the fight, Pacquiao now states that the reason behind his slower pace in the ring was an injured shoulder. M`any of those fans are now upset at not only the loss, but that the injury was unknown when bets were placed. As of now, Pacquiao is only being sued by a few of these fanatics.

Boxing analyst Ed Tolentino tells Syracuse.com about the possible upcoming legal situations facing Pacquiao:

"When the injury had not yet been disclosed, people were blaming Floyd Mayweather for the lackluster fight because he resorted to hit-and-run tactics, but now people are blaming Manny Pacquiao for robbing them of the 'fight of the century.'"

Floyd Mayweather has one more fight lined up before many believe he will retire, making a rematch almost impossible. Another reason a rematch is unlikely, is because Mayweather feels Pacquiao has acted poorly post fight, with blaming his loss not on the great boxing skill of Mayweather but on the injured shoulder.

ESPN tells of Mayweather really letting his feelings known to Showtime about Pacquiao and the possible rematch:

"I'm not going to buy into the bullsh*t, and I don't want the public to buy into the bullsh*t, he lost. He knows he lost. I lost a lot of respect for him after all of this."

He continues,

"If you lost, accept the loss and say, 'Mayweather, you were the better fighter.'"

The idea of a rematch couldn't have a better start with all this drama, but just as this fight was years in the making, a rematch wouldn't come to fruition for years to come.
