It's a new week, and that can mean only one thing. The tabloids are once again attacking Scientology spokesman Tom Cruise, whom they claim took daughter Suri Cruise from ex-wife Katie Holmes. Is Tom getting even from the divorce?
Absolutely not!
Turns out it's just more tabloid lies, which come courtesy this week from In Touch. The cover of this week's print edition reads, "Tom Takes Suri," however, the story couldn't be further from the truth.
According to popular entertainment website Gossip Cop, not one word of the article is true, as Suri remains in Kate's custody:
"Tom Cruise has not taken his daughter Suri away from Katie Holmes, despite a purposefully deceptive cover from In Touch. The tabloid screams on its cover that it's 'Katie's nightmare,' and that 'he blindsided Katie,' but none of that is true. Suri remains in Holmes' custody and that's not going to change...Of course, it's all really a classic bait-and-switch from the tabloid, which clearly has no real news to report."
This isn't the only reason that the A-list actor finds himself in the news.
In his upcoming film, Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation, Mr. Cruise finds himself starring alongside comedy great Simon Pegg.
During a recent interview, Simon was asked about Tom Cruise's religion. Pegg informed the reporter that Tom Cruise doesn't talk about Scientology on set:
"I've known [Tom Cruise] for 10 years and [Scientology has] never come up...It's not something he talks about or preaches...I really like hanging out with him...We do these workouts together, which are a lot of fun. There's a lot of high-flying. A lot of fist-bumps...He doesn't participate with the public persona of himself, or do anything to alter it..."
