B.B. King's Daughters Claim Guitarist Was 'Poisoned' Under Hospice Care

After the tragic loss of renowned blues guitarist B.B. King, two heirs of the musician's estate have filed claims that he was poisoned. The accusation comes after King's business manager LaVerne Toney and personal assistant Myron Johnson refused to let family members visit the ailing guitar player.

Daughters Karen Williams and Patty King, according to The Guardian, have alleged that family members were prevented from visiting B.B. while he was under hospice care. They claim that Johnson and Toney, in light of his dwindling health, hastened their father's death.

It's also been noted that at the time of his death on May 14, Johnson was at B.B. King's bedside when he passed away at age 89. No family members were present during this time.

"I believe my father was poisoned and that he was administered foreign substances," Patty King and Williams say in sections of affidavits provided by their lawyer, Larissa Drohobyczer.

"I believe my father was murdered," they continued.

However, these claims have been slighted by attorneys calling the accusations "ridiculous."

An autopsy, also, was performed on King at the Clark County Coroner's office, but results are said to take up to eight weeks.

A most unfortunate loss for the music world, we continue to offer our condolences to King's family and loved ones as these allegations are delved into further.

For now, here's King below.
