Ariel Pink Announces Special Redrocks Performance with Colorado Symphony

While Ariel Pink gears up for tour with the Black Lips, the quirky singer-songwriter has announced two one-off specialty shows. As it's been noted, one is a performance accompanied by members of the Colorado Symphony and the other a show alongside Ash Ra Temple founding member Manuel Göttsching.

On his July 23 date at Redrocks Amphitheater — opening for DeVotchka — Pink will be accompanied by the CSO with a string section in the background.

On Aug. 8, Pink will then be joined by Manuel Göttsching of Ash Ra Tempel, performing the band's back catalogue. The performance will also include Shags Chamberlain and Oren Ambarchi.

The August show will take place at this year's Supersense festival in Melbourne, Australia. Following that performance, Pink will also include a solo show also at the festival too.

The extended tour comes in support of his latest album pom pom on 4AD, which has been well received as of late.
