Fans of The Disney Channel’s hit series Austin & Ally have been wanting stars Ross Lynch and Laura Marano to hook up in real for sometime now. However, it is starting to look that the on-screen boyfriend and girlfriend are just friends in real life. It has recently been rumored that Ross Lynch has been secretly dating Courtney Eaton. The Teen Beach Movie 2 star even put Eaton in the music video for his band R5’s new song “All Night,” off of their new album, Sometime Last Night. For her part Laura Marano seems perfectly happy just being friends with Ross. Recently the startely spoke to Hollywood Life about why she has not dated Lynch:
“I think it’s a very much because we are very professional. I know for me -- I’ve been acting since I was 5 -- I’ve always been taught that you really should never date a co star while you’re working with someone, because then you can get together then not get together. Can you imagine?...Ross and I -- and everyone on the show -- we all agreed on. You really don’t date co stars when you work with them.”
However, she doesn’t seem mind it when fans ship her and Ross together, adding:
“I think is super sweet. Ross and I have talked about this too. I think fans of other things as well, like Titanic and The Notebook, when you see two characters together and you think they’re really cute together, obviously you want them to date in real life. I love that they love Austin and Ally so much that they see it in real life as well!”
