According to Harry Potter author, J.K Rowling, Gryffindor needs to move over as Hogwarts has a new ruling house. Rowling took to Twitter to herald in the dawn of the Age of Hufflepuff. Potterheads can rejoice as it is fair to assume that Hufflepuff will keep making waves as the upcoming film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them starring Eddie Redmayne as another famous Hufflepuff, Newt Scamander (author of Fantastic Beasts), started filming last month in the UK.

To celebrate the recent Hufflepuff cup victory she also shared a Pottermore tweet that celebrated famous Hufflepuffs throughout the ages including Cedric Diggory, who was played by Twilight star Robert Pattinson in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire.
This is just one of many tidbits of information about the universe that she has created and much to the delight of Potterheads everywhere, keeps on expanding. Rowling also recently revealed that Nymphadora Tonks (another famous Hufflepuff) and her son with Remus Lupin (Gryffindor), Teddy Lupin, had been sorted into Hufflepuff and that he eventually went on to become Head Boy (via MTV.com).
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, The Danish Girl star Eddie Redmayne talked about how thrilled he was to be a part of J.K. Rowling's ever-expanding Harry Potter inspired universe. He said, "Like many people, I read those books, I watched those films, and became completely intoxicated by J.K. Rowling's world. The idea of getting to tiptoe into it felt truly exciting. I hope it's going to be quite a ride."
Hufflepuffs are known to be loyal, hardworking and true. If Redmayne's quote is anything to go by he should have no problem living up to the qualities of the current winning Hogwarts house.
