With strong pitching, a good batting lineup, and a strong regular season performance against the Royals previously this season, the Astros just need to keep playing well to win this series. It is almost a pity Keuchel isn't pitching tonight (it's Collin McHugh starting) otherwise this game would most likely be an easy win for the Astros.
The Kansas City Royals will need to play hard tonight if they want to stand a chance at beating the Houston Astros. With a lackluster record playing the Astros previously in the season, home field advantage will do the Royals well. Yordano Ventura appears to be the starting pitcher for the Royals, and has noticeably improved since his not-quite-demotion to the minor leagues back in July. If Ventura pulls his pitching together in tonight's playoff game, perhaps the Royals will stand a chance to win the first game in this series.
