The Kansas City Chiefs are set to host the Cleveland Browns in NFL Week 16 action on Sunday. What five bold predictions can be made for the game and what should fans be on the lookout for throughout the game?
1. Jeremy Maclin Shreds the Cleveland Secondary for 125 Yards, Two Touchdowns
One of the biggest offseason free agency signings before the 2015 season was the Chiefs signing wide receiver Jeremy Maclin. He has completely changed the Kansas City offense and still has a lot of football left to play. Kansas City is going to go to him early and often throughout the game this week and he will shred through the Browns' secondary for 125 yards and two touchdowns.
2. Johnny Manziel Totals 350 Yards, Four Touchdowns
Cleveland is hoping to see Johnny Manziel continue rising to the challenge and prove that he can be a long-term quarterback option. He has done that thus far in limited playing time and has another chance this week against the Chiefs. Manziel will do just that and will total 350 yards and four touchdowns throughout the game.
3. Alex Smith Throws for 300 Yards, Three Touchdowns
Kansas City has been very pleased with the play of quarterback Alex Smith throughout the course of the season this year. He has been consistent and an excellent leader and has also improved his playmaking ability. Smith will come through with another big game this week against the Browns and will throw for at least 300 yards and three touchdowns in the game.
4. Cleveland Sacks Alex Smith at Least Five Times
If the Browns want to pull out an upset on the road against Kansas City, they have to put pressure on Smith. That is exactly what Mike Pettine and the coaching staff is going to do everything in their power to accomplish. Cleveland will get to Smith a lot throughout the game and will sack him at least five times during the game.
5. The Browns Pull Off a Huge Upset on the Road
While the Chiefs are widely viewed as candidates to blow the Browns out this week, we're going to call the big upset. Cleveland has absolutely nothing to lose and Manziel gives them the type of playmaking potential to make some big plays. Kansas City isn't going to go down without a fight, but they will come in expecting to win the game and will end up losing.
