5 Bold Predictions for Denver Broncos vs. San Diego Chargers in NFL Week 17

The Denver Broncos are set to face off against the San Diego Chargers in NFL Week 17 action. What five bold predictions can be made for the game and what should fans be on the lookout for throughout the game?

1. Brock Osweiler Continues Proving He's the Right Option at Starting QB

After seeing Peyton Manning go down with injury, the Broncos turned to Brock Osweiler as their starting quarterback. He has done an excellent job thus far and has a good chance to be the long-term option for them. Osweiler will take another step towards proving that he is the right option as the starting quarterback this week against the Chargers' defense.

2. Philip Rivers Throws for Over 300 Yards to go Along with Three TD's

San Diego hasn't had a good season, but Philip Rivers has still put up big numbers at the quarterback position. He is one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the league and there are not many defenses that can stop him. Denver has a good defense, but Rivers will still throw for over 300 yards to go along with three touchdowns throughout the game.

3. Denver's Defense Racks Up at Least Five Sacks

While Rivers is going to have a big game through the air, he is also going to take a beating. Denver has an excellent pass rush and that will show this week against the Chargers. They will get to the quarterback and sack him at least five times during the game and could sack him even more than that.

4. Danny Woodhead Totals at Least 125 Yards, Three Touchdowns

Throughout the entire 2015 season, San Diego's Danny Woodhead has put up solid numbers. He has been getting even more run the last few weeks and will go off for at least 125 yards and three touchdowns this week. San Diego is going to run a lot of their offense through him again and he will be a very difficult cover for the Broncos.

5. Denver Wins Easily to Finish the Season at 12-4

Denver is obviously the better team in this matchup and there are not many that expect the Chargers to stick with them. Assuming the Broncos live up to their full potential, they will win easily and finish the season at 12-4. San Diego will drop to a dismal 4-12 with the loss.
