Chicago Bears: 5 Most Disappointing Players Throughout the 2015 NFL Season

The Chicago Bears are without question headed in the right direction, but the 2015 NFL season was still a disappointment. That being said, who were the five most disappointing players throughout the season?

1. Matt Forte, Running Back

Veteran running back Matt Forte was without question one of the top running backs heading into the 2015 season. Unfortunately, he dealt with injury problems and inconsistency all season long. Forte ended up rushing for 898 yards and four touchowns on 218 carries and belongs firmly on this list in what could be his last season with the Bears.

2. Alshon Jeffery, Wide Receiver

Alshon Jeffery battled with injury problems all season long and he made it clear that he wasn't willing to risk health in order to play. That may be the right strategy for him personally, but it was a disappointment to the Bears. He ended up playing in just nine games and caught 54 passes for 807 yards and four touchdowns to land on this list.

3. Antrel Rolle, Safety

When he was originally signed, safety Antrel Rolle appeared to be a big pickup that could be a huge piece for the Bears' defense. That didn't end up happening in 2015, as he ended up compiling 35 tackles and no other meaningful numbers. He only played in seven games as well, which capped off the disappointing season perfectly.

4. Martellus Bennett, Tight End

Another disappointment on the offensive side of the football was tight end Martellus Bennett. He was expected to have a massive season and ended up catching 53 passes for 439 yards and three touchdowns, while also missing five games. Those numbers didn't match up to the expectations and he is firmly on this list.

5. Robbie Gould, Kicker

Putting Robbie Gould on this list is very tough to do, as he has been one of the top kickers in the league throughout the majority of his career. Unfortunately, he missed some very clutch kicks this season and is the fifth player on the team as far as disappointment is concerned. Gould may not have had a terribly bad season, but he still belongs in these rankings.
