Controversial French actor, who a couple years back famously gave up his citizenship because of a tax row and settled in Russia, is set to play infamous Russian dictator Joseph Stalin. The production is a French based production based on French author Jean-Daniel Baltassat's 2013 novel Le divan de Staline (Stalin's Sofa). Disney and JJ Abrams are laughing all the way to the bank, only to be called back because the box office is again overflowing with money. One has to wonder if George Lucas has got the message yet. George, if you try making a film rather than a special effects bonanza, people will come and see it. They love the characters you created. You just made very crappy movies. JJ Abrams Force Awakens entry into the Star Wars franchise is proof of that. As the new year came about, the sci-fi epic has torn apart another record. What this time?
It appears that Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone, if rumors are to be believed, and when aren't they, are engaged in a major feud. At stake is Bollywood supremacy and the choicest female roles available. Not to mention, there's that whole thing of two stuborn females, ther other refusing to give way. To the end, DNAIndia is specullating that both maybe contracted to co-star in the same film.
One could rank the fifteen best blues musicians of all time in some kind of order, but then the onus would be on the number rather than the stories each told or the lives they led, so this list will not be burdened by numbers. Instead, it will be all about the musicians and the music they created. Say hello to Lightnin' Hopkins.
In part one of Classicalite's Original Fiction Series, we met our hero and his disassociative ramblings. He was stuck in a bank and had an itch he could not scratch. Is this the end? Well, if this one doesn't get more pageviews than the last one, it might.
The Philharmonic Society of Orange County is pleased to present "The Passion of Joan of Arc: Silent Film & Medieval Sound," a new project by British vocal ensemble The Orlando Consort, on Saturday, January 16, 2016, 8pm, at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Hritihik Roshan's nickname is the Greek God of Bollywood. He is tall, well built, extremely handsome and one of the highest paid actor in Bollywood to boot. So, why are women saying no to him? Have they gone daft? Well, no. Parineeti Chopra and Kareena Kapoor just turned down movie offers to star opposite Roshan. Still, it does sound a bit daft.
It was like a sewer out there. From my window, I could see it all. They came from out of nowhere and scattered to and fro. No one was safe. A foul stench had followed them up. It wore glasses and a suit and carried recent polling trends of central leaning lesbian atheists. It looked and smelt like hell, for political ideologies I have found are harder to get out of a suit than grape. I met up with a friend a little while back. He had this ugly stain on his lucky tie.
Besides a cameo appearance, Dilwale was the only occasion Shah Rukh Khan's fans got ot see him on the big screen this year. Fans turned out to see their hero in Rohit Shetty's lavish film that spanned three continents and cost a massive 100 crore, $15 million at least in Bollywood standards, to make. Of course, it has pulled in 234 crore, $35 miilion in its first eight days.
Sometimes Bollywood bad boy Salman Khan needs put back in line and no better person to do that than Katrina Kaif. So, expect Deepika Padukone to be putting in a call to Katrina Kaif any day now. It seems that the press doesn't yet get Salman's sense of humor. As Katrina Kaif said after the infamous cracker package comment, "Salman's in his own little universe." So, when a photo of Salman imitating the Vin Diesel photo that Deepika shared on social media came out, the press were all over that, declaring a Salman Khan/Deepika Padukone.
Salman Khan's 50th birthday party was supposed to be a joyous occasion and for the most part it was. A literal who's who of Bollywood was in attendance to revel in the glory that is Salman Khan and get stoned drunk (surmising on that one). In all truth, Salman Khan has done a lot of good in India and has worked very hard to get where he has. Dislike him or not, you cannot deny the impact Khan has had on the Indian way of life. All of beautiful Bollywood was ready to party, except jailed comrade Sanjay Dutt.
One could easily rank the fifteen best blues musicians of all time but then the onus would be on the number rather than the stories they told or the lives they lead, so this list will not be burdened by numbers. Instead, it will be all about the musicians and the music they created. Next is Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Instead, it will be all about the musicians and the music they created. Say hello to John Lee Hooker.
Salman Khan loves to cast people in roles and he just might be playing casting agent one more time. This time the role may be a more important one, that of his girlfriend but the question remains, is it a role nonetheless? The talk is that Salman Khan will introduce Iulia Vantur as his girlfriend during his 50th birthday party. Why now, you ask?
One could easily rank the fifteen best blues musicians of all time but then the onus would be on the number rather than the stories they told or the lives they lead, so this list will not be burdened by numbers. Instead, it will be all about the musicians. The first one we meet is Chester Arthur Burnett more famously known as Howlin Wolf.
