Dilwale is doing very good business. Shah Rukh Khan's newest endeavor isn't disappointing but the obscene piles of money are flowing in like analysts expected. According to the website the Daily O, "While Salman Khan's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo made Rs 40 odd crore on the opening day, Dilwale registered barely half of that at Rs 21 crore. The collections dropped on Saturday, but on Monday, Bajirao Mastani overtook Dilwale!"
Wait, hold off giving SRK the championship belt. Deepika Padukone epic adventure film, co-starring boyfriend, Ranveer Singh, is rebounding a hard charging Shah Rukh Khan's action rom-com. Dippy's Bajirao was expected to do good business but this is catching quite a few industry analysts off guard. So, is it hurting Diwale's box office?
Is this what they call karma? Or maybe irony? Rumors are swirling that Katrina Kaif kept constant check on her boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor while he was filming Tamasha with his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone. The way the two former lovebirds carried on on-screen couldn't be missed by anyone. With them being sent on an promotional tour, their magic played out for all to see and Katrina came down hard on producer Sajid Nadiadwala, much to his annoyance.
Salman Khan is the picture of manliness. Although only 5'9" ihches tall, Khan is well built and a dedicated work out fantatic. In person, he is a huge force of nature, well beyond his rather diminutive height. Salman Khan is the picture of what every man wishes he could be. He is adored by beautiful actresses. They swear an undying love for him, and gratitude for his help and all say they can contact him if they are in need of anything. However, unlike Aamir and Shah Rukh, Salman has never been married, nor is he really a playboy? Is Salman Khan gay?
The Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals have a long and sometimes bitter rivalry that extends almost to the beginning of baseball. That rivalry intensified in last season's playoffs when the upstart Cubs knocked the Cardinals out of the playoffs in five games. The Cardinals posted the best record in baseball and were odds on favorites to win the World Series before they knocked off by the Cubs. To stoke the fire further, the Cubs lured two of the Cardinals free agents away in the offseason, one of them Jason Heyward, whose comments will no doubt add to the fire that is the Cubs/Cards rivalry.
When it comes to politics, the empirical truth is something found in the history books that no one reads. Donald Trump is taking lying to a new art form. He is basically making it up as he goes along and, based on the fact that he is leading in many polls it appears that the American people are buying his lies. The group Politifacts compiled Trump's untruths and they will blow your mind.
One of the most difficult rumors to gain a handle on is the current state of the relations between Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor. Are they on the outs? Is Deepika Padukone the reason? Well, if the Indian press is to believed, the answer is yes but even that may not be the case. So, who's with whom? Sit back and we'll explain or, at least, attempt to try to.
It was probably kind of silly to think that Shah Rukh Khan's newest film would not be a major hit. Khan didn't become the King of Bollywood by making flops. This weekend, though, SRK found himself with a bit of a challenge on his hand. Deepika Padukone, herself on a major roll of late at the box office had a film of her own coming, the critically acclaimed Bajirao Mastani.
The showdown of Bollywood giants began on Friday in theaters around the world. The fight was between the old and the new for supremacy at the box office. It pitted Shah Rukh Khan's newest film Dilwale against Deepika Padukone and her new historical drama Bajirao Mastani. As it stands right now, it looks as if SRK's film will win the challenge.
A lot of jazz aficinados even find John Coltrane hard to listen to. His volcanic torrent of notes, pushing hard to escape from his saxophone, can overwhelm even the most liberal minded of listeners. This upheavel was Coltrane's attempt to purge his soul and gain a synesthesia with his subconscious. Miles Davis turmoil was also present on the very surface of his music, skimming off the top, exposing raw nerve. Unlike Coltrane, Davis was calculating about what he was exposing in his search. He was careful, guarded and mistrustful. Louis Armstrong completes the triangle. No outward agenda, at least musically speaking, Armstrong was the shaman. Only if you were paying attention did you see his self, the abandoned orphan looking for a mother figure through musical expression.
Let the battle begin. This weekend will see the release of two heavyweight pictures. Shah Rukh Khan's newest film Dilwale and Deepika Padukone's Bajirao Mastani. This will truly be a battle of the titans. SRK is box office gold in everything and Deepika has been lighting up the screen recently with her string of films Piku and Tamasha. It will be very difficult to bet against Deepika with Bajirao Mastani.
Kangana Ranaut has a no Khan rule. She has built her fame never having ridden on the coattails of a Khan and would prefer to keep it that way. It is claim very few Bollywood actresses on the whole can claim. Deepika, Katrina, Kareena, Anoushka have all appeared opposite a Khan. So far, Kangana has managed to hold out. But that may all change.
It is awards season in Bollywoodland and as should be expected Deepika Padukone and and Salman Khan are cleaning up. The 2015 Big Star Entertainment Awards were handed out last night and it should probably come as no surprise that both Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan came up big. Courtesy of Bollywood Life comes the list of winners -
The Tampa Bay Rays and the Chicago Cubs have quite a history together. There was the Matt Garza trade a few years back, where the Cubs added Garza and sent soon to be Rays ace Chris Archer, among others, to Tampa. Then, there was that whole Joe Maddon thing. Joe Maddon had an opt out clause in his contract and decided to use it at the end of the 2014 season. Cubs' free agent signing Ben Zobrist became a star in Tampa Bay. Now, the Rays and Cubs have been talking trade and Javier Baez's name has, apparently, been smack dab in the middle.
Bollywood Life is reporting that icon Shah Rukh Khan is very serious about bringing the hit American TV show Breaking Bad to the shores of India in the form of a movie, with SRK taking the role of Walter White. Imagine it, SRK doing an entire song and dance routine in a meth lab. Surreal, right? If anyone in Bollywoodland can do it and get away with such a risky topic, for Bollywood, at least, it is Shah Rukh Khan.
