Maestro Yuri Temirkanov is returning to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra for 'Rachmaninoff & Tchaikovsky: Temirkanov Returns.' The famed Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, will be paying homage to two of Russia’s finest composers, with Denis Matsuev on the Piano.

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is turning 100 this February, and they are bringing back famed American violinist, Joshua Bell, to help them celebrate. Bell, alongside conductor Marin Alsop, will be performing sections from Gershwin, Bernstein and many more at their centennial anniversary concert. Electronica composer Mason Bates will also perform his signature piece, 'Mothership.'
In a clear sign that they are ready to embrace the future with open arms, the Boston Symphony Orchestra has not only launched an extensive App but has also introduced new "Casual Fridays", as well -- in the hopes of attracting a more youthful cliental. In addition to lowering ticket prices to between $25-$45 for one Friday a month over the next three months, the BSO will be passing out 110 iPads to audience members in designated areas of the venue to provide a more interactive experience for tee-shirt and blue jeans concert goers.
