'Maestro Yuri Temirkanov Returns to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra

Maestro Yuri Temirkanov is returning to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra for 'Rachmaninoff & Tchaikovsky: Temirkanov Returns.' The famed Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, will be paying homage to two of Russia’s finest composers, with Denis Matsuev on the Piano.

The BSO has plenty of big events planned for this year including concerts with Broadway’s Sutton Foster ('Thoroughly Modern Millie,' 'Anything Goes'), 'Hairspray' in concert as well as performances of 'Peter and the Wolf ' and 'Porgy and Bess.' That is just a small sample of what the BSO has in store for guest this year.

On Saturday, Feb 6 the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is inviting you to thrown on your favorite team jersey and come courtside for an evening of Beethoven and basketball. The BSO’s All About Sports event is hosted and narrated by Baltimore Orioles’ announcer Ryan Wagner with conductor Ken Lam, Nationals Organist Matthew Van Hoose on Keyboard Marching Ravens covering Sousaphone Section and Ellen Pendleton providing color commentary.
