Norman Reedus plays one of the most loved characters, Daryl Dixon, on one of TV’s most popular shows, The Walking Dead. So naturally he is going to be the source of some celebrity gossip rumors. When Reedus isn’t (not really) dead or (not really) quitting the show, he is apparently either gay or homophobic. There have been a lot report popping up that claim the show was going to make Reedus’ character gay, and that he begged the producers to not do it. Now, Reedus has shot down the reports, with what only was an arrow of truth, from a crossbow of righteousness….OK, so it was via Twiter, but we were close.
According to The Huffington Post the report came from, a rabbit of hole of gossip sites all tracing back to, Celebrity Dirty Laundry, reading:
“Insiders say he fears the same-sex shocker would hurt ratings by disappointing his legions of female fans. Norman isn’t anti-gay in his personal life, but he’s become one of the biggest male sex symbols in television. He gets thousands of fan letters from women each week--along with dozens of marriage proposals.”
The Inquisitr picked up the story, which made it way to Norman Reedus himself. So Reedus took to Twitter to, posting a link to the article along with a short but clear correction"
