Don't look now Ed Sheeran, but it looks like you just might have missed your chance at making Taylor Swift your girlfriend after all. According to the latest gossip news updates, the '1989' singer is ready to end her self-imposed dating exile to make Coldplay singer, Chris Martin, her new boyfriend. Word has it that Swift has known the British pop star since her was still very much married to Gwyneth Paltrow, but now that they're getting a divorce Taye-Taye is ready to make her move. It is rumored that Martin is currently seeing Hunger Games' topless Instagram feet model, Jennifer Lawrence--despite talk that they had split--but apparently Swift doesn't give the same consideration to girlfriends that she does wives.
24-year-old country music maven, Taylor Swift, whose new album, '1989', is still at the top of the Billboard charts, recently explained that she stopped dating because it was distracting folks from truly appreciating her success as an artist.
During an interview with Us Weekly, Swift claimed that it was hard setting records selling tickets on tours, when all anyone wanted to talk about was whether or not she was sleeping with Harry Styles:
"I was selling out stadiums and [dating] was all people talked about...It broke my heart!"
"Now people talk less about the things that don't matter."
As pleasant as that reprieve must have been for Taylor, word has it that she's thinking about dating again and already the tabloids are talking.
According to a source claiming to have the secret behind-the-scenes deets in Star Magazine's November 24, issue, as soon as Swift gets a shot at Chris Martin she is making her move--Jennifer Lawrence be damned:
"Taylor would love to make Chris [Martin] her new boyfriend.
"She can sense that their relationship is on shaky ground, so she's moving in fast...taking advantage of how Jen's and Chris' busy schedules are keeping them apart."
To be fair--the insider insists that Taylor had her eye on Martin long before Lawrence ever even entered into the picture:
"She's had a crush on him for years but never thought anything could come of it because of his marriage to Gwyneth."
Unfortunately for Jennifer, says the insider, Taylor has decided that Chris is the cure to what ails her and is doing her best to take their friendship to the next level:
"Chris is mature, successful...exactly what Taylor has been holding out for.
"She's having fun flirting with him--but she really hopes that it goes further."
And just like that Jennifer Lawrence knows a little bit more about how it feels to be old and unpopular Gwyneth.
