The WWE provides some of the most exciting programing on modern television. Since its creation, the Divas Division has done an excellent job of combining what men love most, sex and violence. However, some shade has resulted from the E! network hit show, Total Divas. Regardless, those who enjoy the programing are able to ignore the haters, and we have a recap for those of you who missed the most recent episode of Total Divas, the anvil tied to the WWE Divas division's ankles.
In 1993, the WWF reinstated the Women's Championship, a title that had been vacant since 1990. Now, fans are overjoyed to see the lady competitors, because some of the most exiting matches have happened within the women's division.
In turn, fans wanted a closer look at some of the company's sexy ladies. Well, the E! Network heard our cries and created Total Divas, which premiered in July of 2013.
The show provides an exciting behind-the-scenes look into the females we admire and love to hate. However, according to Bleacher Report, the show has been criticized over the years:
"Total Divas is the anvil tied to the WWE Divas division's ankles. The company is ensuring that its Divas division fails so that the reality show may succeed. It's a backward way of thinking, adjusting its primary programming to suit a supplementary offering. The result is a narrative mess that features some of the least talented wrestlers WWE has ever employed. WWE and Total Divas bleeding into each other is poisoning the former..."
